Dr. Ashraf Nouri is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Smart Citizens DMCC, the UAE-based smart home and smart building automation company headquartered in Dubai. He holds a PhD in Computer Science with a specialisation in Artificial Intelligence, and brings more than two decades of UAE-market experience across IT, smart technologies, digital transformation, automation and business leadership.
Under his leadership, Smart Citizens has been recognised as Best Smart Home Provider powered by AI at the UAE Business Awards in both 2022 and 2023, and operates as an ISO 9001:2015 certified organisation. The company has delivered automation across villas, apartments, hospitality, commercial offices and government projects in the UAE.
Dr. Nouri authors and reviews the technical content published across Smart Citizens guides, contributing first-hand expertise in AI-driven smart home design, energy and water management, IoT, and the practical realities of delivering automation in the UAE climate and regulatory environment.
